Human Sorcerer Guide: Skill Build

In Lineage 2 Revolution, upon hitting Level 31 and going through the 7 Class Change quests, the Human Mystic can choose between one of the Secondary Classes. The Sorcerer (Damage Dealer) or Bishop (Healer). This guide focuses on the damage dealing class, the Sorcerer. The Human Sorcerer is capable of continuous damage with his Flame Skills in Lineage 2 Revolution. A human sorcerer is also armed with his own crowd control skills. A Sorcerer can boost his own damage whilst attacking enemies. He can even increase the skill damage of himself and party members, at the cost of additional mana points.

Active Skills

Molten Bowl

Human Sorcerer Guide - Molten Bowl

The Sorcerer launches a flaming orb that penetrates enemies and explodes at the end of its trajectory. This Molten Bowl skill has 2 damage instances. First, when it passes through enemies. Second, when it explodes. This skill also serves as crowd control, as it applies a knock down of 2 seconds upon exploding.

Volcano

Human Sorcerer Guide - Volcano

The Sorcerer creates a powerful pillar of fire to deal damage to enemies within the area. This skill can strike the enemies 5 times in succession. To be clear, it does not deal damage over time but instead it deals 5 instances of damage when you cast the skill. This skill is pretty powerful, dealing (54% +741) damage 5 times at Level 1. The only downside is that the enemy needs to stay in the affected area for the 5 hits to land.

Active Buff Skill

Boost Mana

Human Sorcerer Guide - Boost Mana

The Sorcerer awakens the party’s mana potential, increasing everyone’s max MP. Gives you more value for your Mana Potions, since they restore a percentage of your max MP. This skill allows you to gain additional skill damage at the cost of increasing mana consumption.

Passive Buff Skill

Blaze

Gain a chance to increase attack power while attacking an enemy. You gain a 10% chance to increase your attack power for a fixed rate – this fixed rate increases as the skill level increases. The buff last for 6 seconds. A key skill to invest into as basic attack forms bulk of your grinding and leveling process.

Death Whisper

This skill applies a Critical Damage buff to you and your party members in the area. A strong effect that is great in party play. A 30% crit damage buff boosts the damage output of DPS classes substantially, including yourself. This is an automatic buff and you do not need to worry about casting it. However, do note that your party needs in the vicinity to benefit from the buff. This can pose a problem in Elite Dungeons when parties spread out while auto-battling.

Skill Build Recommendations and Guide

Similar to the Human Mystic, you want to level your passive skills as a Sorcerer first. Continue to prioritize leveling your Mage Weapon Mastery and Robe Mastery since they continue to grant substantial bonuses in the late game. You should then prioritize Blaze next. Investing into Death Whisper should be a luxury as the additional crit damage buff per level is not that significant.

For Active skills, you want to first prioritize your buff skill, Boost Mana. This will increase your damage output despite consuming more mana. You could choose to invest a handful of points into Molten Bowl and Volcano for additional damage output, but we recommend prioritizing skill points for the strong Passives.

How Good is Human Sorcerer in Lineage 2 Revolution?

The Human Sorcerer has synergy in his skill set which helps sustain his added mana consumption whilst dealing additional damage. Compared to other Wizards in Lineage 2 Revolution, he is unable to regenerate health upon attacking, but his moderately high base Health and Defense aids in his survivability.

Whilst leveling, you will find that his high damage output and the chain-lightning basic attacks will result in high experience gain rates. This is because you are able to target more wide-spread monsters. The Sorcerer can chain his Molten Bowl and Volcano together, to ensure his target gets hit by the spells accordingly. He is an excellent party player as the 30% Crit Buff will prove to be a valuable asset for many DPS classes.

Keep in mind that though the Human race provides decent health and defense, the Human Sorcerer lacks defensive skills. Positioning is critical in doing party content as being targeted by strong enemies would result in your quick death.
