Human Hawkeye Guide: Skill Build

As you ding Level 31 as a Human Rogue in Lineage 2 Revolution you can pick between two Secondary Classes. Hawkeye (bow-wielding) or Treasure Hunter (dagger-wielding). This guide focuses on playing as a Human Hawkeye. The Hawkeye possesses great accuracy bonuses. This allows it to hit its target virtually all the time. His range attack allows him to start attacking foes from a distance. He is also able to slow them with his attacks, allowing you to kite enemies easily. The Human Hawkeye possesses buffs that increases attack power, accuracy, attack range, and critical rate. His only downfall is the lack of crowd control skills and burst damage. Let us take a closer look at his skills, before discussing the best skill build for Lineage 2 Revolution.

Active Skills

Multiple Shot

Human Hawkeye Guide - Multiple ShotHawkeye sprays penetrating arrows in a cone to do damage and knockdown enemies. This is the only crowd control skill you have for the Human Hawkeye. It does not help that this skill has a cooldown of 22 seconds. The knockback lasts for 2 seconds.

Arrow Rain

Human Hawkeye Guide - Arrow Rain

Showers arrows in a circle to do continuous damage to enemies within the area. This is your key ability when it comes to leveling up. Do note that the skill does damage over time rather than burst damage output. Your intended targets need to be within the affected area for you to deal damage.

Active Buff Skills

Snipe

Human Hawkeye Guide: Snipe

Moves carefully to increase ATK and Accuracy Rate. Allows you to attack enemies far away but results in reduced Speed. This iconic ability is what makes Human Hawkeyes so strong. You gain 30% ATK bonus at Level 1, coupled with some critical rate. You also gain 4 metres of range allowing more damage to be done from far. The movement speed reduction is negligible and hardly noticeable.

Hawkeye

Human Hawkeye Guide: Hawkeye

Activates Hawkeye which increases Crit rate and damage dealt to enemies. This buff grants a nice 5% Atk. Damage boost and added accuracy rate.

Passive Buff Skill

Enchanced Slow

Hawkeye has a chance to slow the enemy down when attacking. The 20% slow increases your survivability by allowing you to better kite enemies. You will be able to dish out 1 or 2 more hits before they close the gap. Only a 20% slow at Level 1, 28.29% slow at maximum level 30. It has an activation chance of 10%, as such procs will not often that often.

Guidance

Automatically applies a accuracy increase buff to you and your party members when located in the vicinity. The Accuracy bonus is handy versus enemies with high Evasion, though this is probably a rare occurrence in Lineage 2 Revolution.

Skill Build Recommendations and Guide

Assuming you are a Free-to-Play player, it is imperative to spend your Skill Points following an optimal skill build for a Human Hawkeye. Skill Points are afterall a scarce resource in the game. For your Active Buff Skills, prioritize leveling the Snipe ability first, followed by your Hawkeye ability. Since Snipe grants you such a huge boost to your overall DPS, it is by far the best skill to max out first. Hawkeye does provide a good boost to your damage output, albeit less impact as Snipe.

For your Passive Skills, make sure to continue skilling up your Rogue Weapon Mastery and Light Armor Mastery. This is because a Human Hawkeye lacks survivability as it does not have much Evasion and Health. The lack of multiple crowd control abilities further compounds the problem. Keep Enhanced Slow and Guidance at Level 1, as they provide marging returns for further Skill Point investments.

How Good is Human Hawkeye in Lineage 2 Revolution?

The Human Hawkeye is a great damage dealer because of his Active Buff skill, Snipe. It makes him arguably the strongest Archer-type with regards to Base Damage. Although he lacks crowd control for content like Arena, a Human HAwkeye can likely burst down an enemy fast enough – even though you might be at a slight CP disadvantage. Do note that a Human Hawkeye lacks Evasion and base Health. As such, character positioning is critical when attempting harder content like bosses and party play.
