Elf Rogue Guide: Skill Build

The Elf racial has a unbalanced stats distribution in Lineage 2 Revolution. An elf has high stats for Evasion, MP, Crit Rate and Attack. However, it fairs poor in terms of HP and Def. This implies that an Elf Rogue is capable of outputting huge damage numbers, but might not fair as well in the terms of surviving hits. Upon reaching Level 31, an Elf Rogue can select between two Secondary Classes – the Plains Walker (dagger-wielding) or the Silver Ranger (bow-wielding). This guide focuses on Level 1-31 as a Elf Rogue in Lineage 2 Revolution. We will discuss your skillsets as well as the optimal skill build you should follow.

Active Skills

Mortal Blow [Dagger Only]

Charges up, then attacks at full power and knocks down the enemy. This skill offers excellent crowd control, whilst dealing good amoung of damage at the same time.

Power Thrust [Dagger Only]

Elf Rogue Guide - Power Thrust

Dashes through enemies while attacking, briefly stunning them. Yet another damage-dealing skill, that comes with a handy disable. Able to target multiple enemies.

Power Shot [Bow Only]

Elf Rogue Guide - Power Shot

Fires an arrow that damages and knocks down the enemy. This is your crowd control skill for the bow-wielding Elf Rogue. It deals decent damage and the disable will allow you to land additional hits on the immobile target.

Double Shot [Bow Only]

Elf Rogue Guide - Double Shot

Fires two arrows at enemies in front to deal powerful damage. This skills dishes out good burst damage, but comes with no crowd control capabilities.

Passive Skills

Elven Potential [Max Level]

Agile movements allow them to have a high Evasion against enemy attacks. An Elf racial trait that starts of at max level. It grants bonuses to Evasion, Speed, and M. Atk. As a Rogue, you do not fully benefit from all the increased stats, although the bonus in evasion and speed does help you in survivability and DPS output.

Rogue Weapon Mastery

This increases your ATK whenever a dagger or bow is equipped. This is the most important passive that requires your attention, as it gives additional ATK to your class-specific weapon. Prioritise investing skill points into this skill.

Light Armor Mastery

This passive increases your Evasion rate when Light Armor is equipped, stacking up to 4 times. For each piece of Light Armor you equip, you gain at least 2% Evasion rate per piece. Assuming you wear 4 pieces of Light Armor (Headgear, Armor, Gloves and Boots), you will gain 8% Evasion rate at level 1. Assuming you find yourself with excess skillpoints, you might want to consider investing a few points into this trait for better survivability.

Skill Build Recommendations and Guide

In early game, you will probably find that you have sufficient Skill Points to spend on leveling your skills to max level. However, we strongly urge that you hold back on doing so. As you reach Level 31 as an Elf Rogue, you are given the choice of picking a Secondary Class. Each Secondary Class skill costs you at least 110 skill points per level. As such it is imperative you stick to the following optimal skill build.

Prioritise leveling Rogue Weapon Mastery initially, since it provides a huge attack boost. You should then subsequently invest into Light Armor Mastery, as it provides you the the evasion required to boost your survivability. This is important as the Elf Rogue is pretty squishy a character.

For Active Skills, we recommend that you hold back on your skill points and keep them at Level 1. However, if you really find yourself struggling with early-game content, you may consider investing Skill Points in these active skills up to a maximum of Level 3.

Also make sure you do not mix dagger and bow skills – pick one type of weapon and stick to it. This is unless you somehow uncover a very strong weapon that justifies a switch.

How Good is Elf Rogue in Lineage 2 Revolution?

Despite an Elf lacking in much health and defense, an Elf Rogue can deal a very large amount of damage in Lineage 2 Revolution. You might face some challenges in the early game when it comes to storyline bosses, as they are capable of dishing out a fair amount of damage. However, endure through that, and you will see your big damage potential carry you through the late game of Lineage 2 Revolution (after you unlocked your Secondary Class).
