Elf Elder Guide: Skill Build

As an Elf Mystic in Lineage 2 Revolution, you will unlock two Secondary Classes upon hitting Level 31 and completing the relevant quests. You can opt between an Elf Spellsinger (DPS) or Elf Elder (Healer). For this guide, we will be diving into the skillset of the Elf Elder, as well as the best skill build that you should be following. The Elf Elder is probably the best buffer/healer in the game. She has the ability to shorten the party’s skill cooldown time, allowing all her allies to output the maximum possible damage per second. The Elf Elder is extremely strong in party play, though pretty lacklustre in solo content due to her lack of damage.

Active Skills

Holy Fire

Elf Elder Guide - Holy Fire

A pillar of holy flames that damages enemies. Affected enemies take increased damage. At Level 1, the skill results in 35% damage amplification to affected enemies, lasting for 7 seconds. This is a potent debuff when applied to enemies, which will vastly increase your party’s damage output.

Restoration

Elf Elder Guide - Restoration

Imbues an effect on you that heals you and the party members around you continuously. This is essentially a 6 second heal-over-time. Do take note that this is not an instant heal, and requires six seconds to see all the health point restoration take effect.

Mental Refresh

Elf Elder Guide - Mental Refresh

Encourages yourself and your party members, decreasing skill cooldowns. At Level 1, this ability lowers all skill cooldowns by 3 seconds. The effect last for a total of 20 seconds. This substantially boosts the party’s overall damage output. On top of that, it also enhances the party’s survivability, as it allows for the usage of defensive buffs more often.

Follow Defense

Elf Elder Guide - Follow Defense

Increases Def of you and your party members. At Level 1, it buffs your defense stat by 40% which is huge. As an Elf Elder, you would need the additional defense stats due as your race lacks in health and defense. This is a great buff on tanks, as the additional defense they gain from the % buff is massive.

Passive Skill

Elven Evasion

Increases your Evasion. At Level 1, this increases your Evasion increases by 15%. This does help out with your survivability since you do no possess much health and defense to begin with.

Boost HP

The Elf Elder applies a HP increase buff for you and your party members when located in the same area. This ability grants a flat HP value increase, which allows you to tank more hits.

Skill Build Recommendations and Guide

For the Elf Elder, do prioritize the leveling of Passives over Actives. Make sure you continue to level your Mage Weapon Mastery and Robe Armor Mastery as these will increase your Magic Attack, which in turn results in a stronger healing from Restoration. You can also skill up a single point of Elven Evasion for additional survivability – do not skill it past Level 1, as it only yields marginal gains.

For Active Skills, we recommend prioritizing the leveling of Restoration as compared to the active buff skills in the long run. Just take a couple points in the active buff skills for utility, before focusing on skilling up Restoration.

How Good is Elf Elder in Lineage 2 Revolution?

The Elf Elder is probably the best support buff class in Lineage 2 Revolution. She provides valuable buffs for the entire party, which not only maximizes damage output, but also aids in their survivability. She is excellent when it comes to Party Play, in particular the Elite Dungeons due to her heal-over-time. However, do watch your positioning when tackling tougher content, as the Elf Elder is pretty squishy in nature.

Solo content would be challenging to the Elf Elder, as she lacks in damage output as a class, though it is certainly not impossible due to her having the Holy Fire skill which does bolster her damage.
