Elf Plains Walker Guide: Skill Build

In Lineage 2 Revolution, once you have hit Level 31 as an Elf Rogue, you are able to unlock two Secondary Classes after completing the 7 Class Change quests. An Elf Rogue can select between a Plains Walker (dagger-wielding) or Silver Ranger (bow-wielding). This guide will focus on the Elf Plains Walker, covering the skills and optimal skill build of the class in Lineage 2 Revolution.

Active Skills

Triple Splinter

Elf Plains Walker Guide: Triple Splinter

The Elf Plains Walker rapidly attacks forward 3 times, dealing massive damage and decreases Def., Atk. Spd., and Speed of affected enemies. This is a very strong skill as it applies 3 debuffs to the affected enemies. It lowers 15% defense,  20% atk speed and  50% movement speed at Level 1. On top of that, the skill boasts high damage multiplier and damage.

Blade Hurricane

Elf Plains Walker Guide: Blade Hurricane

Launches a flurry of attacks forward that damages enemies in the area consecutive times and stuns enemies. This is an excellent crowd control skill which also deals a decent amount of damage. The stun lasts for 3 seconds, which is considerable as most stuns in Lineage 2 Revolution only last for 2 seconds.

Planeswalk

Greatly increases Atk. Spd. and Movement Speed. Also increases HP Drain Rate during the duration.  A very strong active buff skill that increases 3 stats: Attack Speed, Movement Speed and HP drain. Your Attack Speed is increased by 20%, Movement Speed by 30% and Health Drain by 0.10%. Although the Health Drain increment looks tiny on first glance, but given your rapid attack speed and damage output, you will be able to drain a good amount of damage.

Passive Skill

Rapid Anger

Increases Attack Speed and Movement Speed depending on the number of hits (maximum stacks of 10). This buff will drop off after you stop hitting a target for seconds. It is an insanely strong single target buff, which allows you to dish out a lot more damage when you are fighting a single target (such as a boss). Stacks up to 10% Attack Speed and Movement Speed at Level 1.

Critical Chance

Increases Critical Chance. The added Critical Chance will be very useful as it has great synergy with your high attack speed buffs.

Quickstep

This automatically applies movement speed buff to you and your party members. A skill that provides good utility, for escaping, kiting and repositioning of monsters. This is useful to have, but not critical.

Skill Build Recommendations and Guide

Be sure to focus on skilling up your passive over active skills. Be sure to continue leveling your Rogue Weapon Mastery to obtain substantial Attack boost, as well as Light Armor Mastery for added survivability. If you intend to push your damage output, you could opt to forgo the Armor passive. Instead, invest into Rapid Anger, followed by Critical Chance for a higher DPS output.

For Active skills, be sure to focus on your Plainswalk skill as it helps you deal more damage, whilst the life drain adds in survivability. If you find yourself with excess skill points, you can then allocate them to Triple Splinter or Blade Hurricane.

How Good is Elf Plains Walker in Lineage 2 Revolution?

The Elf Plains Walker is capable of dealing tons of physical damage in Lineage 2 Revolution due to its high attack speed buffs. The Elf’s Plains Walker weakness of having low health is partially mitigated by the Plainswalk ability, which provides you with the lifesteal required to survive longer in a fight.

The Elf Plains Walker is an excellent choice in a 1v1 scenario, as most of her skills contribute to increased single target damage. She is decent in training, but really excels when it comes to single target damage. She is an asset in party content despite lacking party buffs. The Elf Plains Walker also benefits substantially for party buffs, especially those that are damage-oriented buffs.

In the Arena, you might face some issues surviving the initial stream of burst damage dealt by the enemy. However, if you do survive the initial phase, you have the tendency to win in a 1v1 fight.

Despite being a great damage dealing class in Lineage 2 Revolution, the Elf Plains Walker is naturally squishy as it lacks defense and health. Be sure to pay close attention to your positioning when fighting tougher bosses.
