Upon reaching level 31 and completing the 7 Class Change quests in Lineage 2 Revolution, a Dwarf Rogue can specialize into two Secondary Classes. The Dwarf Rogue Scavenger (dagger-wielding), or the Dwarf War Ranger (Bow-Wielding). This guide will focus on the Dwarf War Ranger (bow-Wielding).
The Dwarf War Ranger in Lineage 2 Revolution is a long-range damage dealer who deploys traps and evasion skills. She lacks physical damage buffs but is able to attack with high precision.
Active Skills
Burst Shot
You fire a fire element arrow that explodes to deal damage and knockdown enemies. Unfortunately, this is the only Crowd Control (CC) skill that you get as a War Ranger. The CC lasts for 2.5 seconds, whilst the damage debuff lasts for 4 seconds. Overall, this is a great burst damage skill for the War Ranger class.
Evasion Shot
The Dwarf War Ranger steps back and fires 3 arrows which explode to deal damage and slow enemies. This ability allows the War Ranger to be put in an advantageous position – away from the enemies. The Evasion Shot enables you to kite enemies and prevent yourself from sustaining melee hits. This ability also slows enemies for 4 seconds, which facilitates easier kiting.
Passive Buff Skills
Acrobat
You have a chance to gain increased Evasion while attacking. This ability gives the Dwarf War Ranger an added 12% Evasion at Level 1, as well as a 15% chance of activation. This skill lasts for 5 seconds for all levels. The ability grants the Dwarf War Ranger additional survivability, despite her already high base HP and Def.
Lucky Quickstep
You and your party members have a chance to gain movement speed buff when attacking. This skill gives a 15% chance to increase speed by 20% for 5 seconds at Level 1. The chance of activation and duration remains the same for all levels. Lucky Quickstep does not serve much purpose except to enable ease of kiting, as well as better escape and chasing capabilities. This might be handy in situations such as avoiding hard hitting boss abilities.
Guidance
This passive boosts the accuracy of you and party members in the vicinity. Although this might seem insignificant, the added Accuracy buff does help your party members ensure their hits land on the actual target, increasing the overall damage output of the party.
Skill Build Recommendations and Guide
As per most other Lineage 2 Revolution guides, it is important to consider passives over actives. However, make sure you obtain Level 1 in all of the Dwarf War Ranger skills, as the first value point grants considerable returns.
For your passives, make sure you continue leveling the Rogue Weapon Mastery. This allows for a steady gain in Atk boost. With regards to Light Armor Mastery, it is optional for you to obtain the evasion boost, unless you need more evasion for added survivability. You would want to place emphasis on leveling Acrobat and Guidance, which provides the most damage output increments per skill point. If you do a lot of party or group content, consider leveling Guidance over Acrobat first.
For Actives, we recommend that you invest heavily into the Burst Shot skill. The damage that the skill provides scales much better as you invest more skill points into it, versus other abilities.
How Good is Dwarf War Ranger in Lineage 2 Revolution?
If you are seeking a hardcore pure DPS class in Lineage 2 Revolution, the Dwarf War Ranger will not be the class for you. This is because she lacks buffs that drastically increases her overall damage output.
However, if you enjoy an evasive play style, the Dwarf War Ranger will be an idea choice, due to her ability to kite well. This is because most of the monsters in game are melee-based.
When it comes to Solo Play, the Dwarf War Ranger is able to complete almost all dungeons as she capable of tanking and evading hits. However, keep in mind that your overall damage output might be lower than other classes, due to the absence of Attack buff skills.
For Party Play, you would require a party to power level as she generally lacks high damage output. However, the Dwarf War Ranger compensates by providing the party with additional Accuracy and Movement Speed boosts.
