Elf Silver Ranger Guide: Skill Build

After reaching Level 31 in In Lineage 2 Revolution, an Elf Rogue can complete the 7 Class Change quests. This allows you to choose from one of the two Secondary Classes available – Plains Walker (dagger-wielding) or Silver Ranger (bow-wielding). This guide will home in on the Elf Silver Ranger and will cover the skillsets and optimal skill build.

Active skill

Lethal Shot

Elf Silver Ranger Guide - Lethal Shot

The Elf Silver Ranger fires a sharp, penetrating arrow to deal damage and stun enemies. If you manage to strike multiple enemies with this ability, you will apply a stun duration of 2 seconds as well. This allows you to dish out good damage whilst the enemies are disabled due to your high attack speed. The damage multiplier on this skill is considerable as well.

Double Wide Shot

Elf Silver Ranger Guide - Double Wide Shot

Fires two arrow-shaped energy bolts, dealing damage to enemies as they penetrate. This is your cornerstone damage ability, with a high damage multiplier. The skill will strike enemies standing behind the intended target if they are lined up in a single file.

Active Buff Skill

Mind’s Eye

Greatly increases Crit Rate. The flat increase in critical rate raises your overall damage output given your high attack speed.

Double Quick Step

Increases Atk. Spd. and Speed. At Level 1, Atk. Spd. increases by 10% and Movement Speed increases by 35% for 30 seconds. This skill is on a 40 seconds cooldown. The skill will be active up to 75% of the time, granting you almost constant high attack speed and damage output.

Passive Skill

Swift

Grants you a chance to gain movement speed buff while attacking. 10% chance to increase movement speed by 20% for 6 seconds. This is not a key skill to invest into, though it does help you to kite enemies that are pursuing you.

Guidance

Increases Accuracy of you and your party members in the vicinity. This is not essential for purposes of farming, but does help when you are in a war and against classes with high evasion.

Skill Build Recommendations and Guide

Be sure to prioritize your Passive over Active abilities. Persist in leveling up your Rogue Weapon Mastery as it still gives a substantial attack boost. Also continue to level up Light Armor Mastery due to your natural lack of survivability. Subsequently,  get your Swift and Guidance to Level 1 – there is marginal returns in leveling them past Level 1.

For Active Skills, prioritize leveling your Active buff first. Start off with Double Quick Step, before investing points into Swift – this allows you to push out more damage as an Elf Silver Ranger with the increased attack speed.

How Good is Elf Silver Ranger in Lineage 2 Revolution?

The Elf Silver Ranger is capable of a high damage output with the strong buffs that increase her attack speed and critical rates in Lineage 2 Revolution. She really shines in 1v1 combat, but is also competent at training on multiple monsters with your multitarget skills.

In solo content, you will find yourself handling regular monsters with ease. Though certain boss monsters might be challenging, as you will find it hard to survive heavy hitting attacks from bosses. However, the movement speed buffs should help you in kiting players and monsters, so that you can dish out free damage whilst they try to close the gap.

Despite the Elf Silver Ranger being a very strong damage dealer, she is susceptible to being attacked. Generally perceived as a glass cannon capable of huge damage, but frail in tanking hits. It is imperative you focus on good positioning when you are tackling harder content.
