Human Rogue Guide: Skill Build

The Human race has the most balanced stats distribution in Lineage 2 Revolution. This allows for a finely tuned balance between good survivability and good damage output. Many pick the Human Rogue based on the above. Rogues as a class does not have great survivability to start, the Human Race certainly aids to bolster survivability, without sacrificing too much damage output. Upon reaching Level 31 and completing 7 quests for the Class Change, Human Rogues can opt between two Secondary Classes – the Treasure Hunter (dagger-wielding rogue), or Hawkeye (bow-wielding archer). This guide focuses on your skill build as a Human Rogue in Lineage 2 Revolution, Levels 1 – 31.

Active Skills

Mortal Blow [Dagger Only]
Human Rogue Guide - Mortal Blow

This skill only applies when Dagger is the equipped weapon. The rogue charges up, then attacks at full power and knocks down the enemy. This provides a bit of crowd control, whilst also dealing damage simultaneously.

Power Thrust [Dagger Only]

Human Rogue Guide - Power Thrust

This skill is only available when Dagger is the equipped weapon. The Rogue dashes through enemies while attacking, briefly stunning them. This is yet another crowd control ability, and probably your bread and butter skill for leveling in the early phases of the game.

Power Shot [Bow Only]

Human Rogue Guide - Power Shot

This skill is only available when a Bow is the equipped weapon. The rogue fires an arrow that damages and knocks down the enemy. This is a ranged crowd control skill, which will be vital to your build should you decide to spec into the Secondary Class of Hawkeye at Level 31.

Double Shot [Bow Only]

This skill is only available when a Bow is the equipped weapon. The Rogue fires two arrows at enemies in front to deal powerful damage. This is yet another important skill to have in your arsenal for purposes of leveling. It does a large burst of damage, and is a dangerous ability you should take note of in early-level Arenas.

Passive Skills

Human Potential

This racial trait is available to all Human characters and starts off the game at maximum level. A human’s firm resolve grants them higher ATK against enemies. Your character possesses bonus P. ATK (Physical Attack) and CRIT RESIST (Crit Resistance).

Rogue Weapon Mastery

This increases your ATK whenever a dagger or bow is equipped. This is arguably the most important passive, as it grants you additional ATK to your class-specific weapon. This skill will be one of your top priorities when deploying skill points as a Human Rogue.

Light Armor Mastery

This passive increases your Evasion rate when Light Armor is equipped, stacking up to 4 times. As a Rogue is always wearing Light Armor, this passive will always be activated. For each piece of Light Armor you equip, you gain at least 2% Evasion rate per piece. Assuming you wear 4 pieces of Light Armor (Headgear, Armor, Gloves and Boots), you will gain 8% Evasion rate at level 1. If you possess excess skillpoints, you should consider investing a few points into this trait.

Skill Build Recommendations and Guide

During the initial phase of the game, you will probably find yourself with ample skill points to deploy into leveling all your Active and Passive skills. However, we strongly advise you against such a skill build. This is especially relevant to Free-to-Play players, with no intention to spend a single dollar on the game. Skill Points will be a limited resource, as the amount of Skill Points required to level each skill increases with each level.

Keep in mind that after you have obtained your Secondary Class, the first level of those skills require 110 Skill Points! If you want to start using your flashy Secondary Class skills and strong passive boosts the moment you hit Level 31, do hold back on spending all your Skill Points prior to that. Save your Skill Points for a stronger and easier mid-game (starting at Level 31).

You can consider deploying a portion of your Skill Points before Level 31 into some of your Passive and Active skills. In particular, you should be focusing strictly on your passive first Rogue Weapon Mastery, as it improves your damage throughput significantly. Never go beyond level 3 for your active skills. The key is to scrimp on Skill Points where you can. Do make adjustments accordingly – for instance, if you are breezing through early game content, try to hold back on investing further Skill Points.

How Good is Human Rogue in Lineage 2 Revolution?

The Human Rogue offers you a higher base health due to the Human stat distribution. This is a real asset given that the Rogue has a lacklustre health pool. The Human Race also has pretty decent ATK attributes. You should find yourself clearing the main storyline content with ease. Like Rogues of other races, Evasion is a mere chance – you will still be taking damage most of the time when an attack lands. A Human Rogue’s moderately strong defense aids in your ability to survive. Bottomline, a Human Rogue is a good choice if you are seeking a well-rounded Rogue class that retains the ability to dish out high damage.
