Dwarf Rogue Guide: Skill Build

In Lineage 2 Revolution, the Dwarf race comes with high Defensive states, whilst having relatively less offensive stats as compared to other races. Hence, this makes the Dwarf race to be more suitable to tank-oriented classes.

However, this does not imply that a Dwarf Rogue is disadvantaged as compared to Rogue of other races. A Dwarf Rogue can choose between two Secondary Classes at Level 31 – Dwarf Scavenger or Dwarf War Ranger. This guide will talk you through playing as a Dwarf Rogue, as well as the skill build that you should follow.

Active Skills

Mortal Blow [Dagger Only]

Charges up, then attacks at full power and knocks down the enemy. The skills grants a knockback disable to affected enemies and allows you to output good burst damage to bring down foes.

Power Thrust [Dagger Only]

Dwarf Rogue Guide - Power Thrust

Dashes through enemies while attacking, briefly stunning them. This grants you yet another crowd control skill should you equip a dagger. The stun disable allows you to land additional hits whilst your enemies are disabled. The burst damage that comes with this skill is respectable.

Power Shot [Bow Only]

Dwarf Rogue Guide - Power Shot

Fires an arrow that damages and knocks down the enemy. This is your only crowd control skill, should you opt to equip a bow instead.

Double Shot [Bow Only]

Dwarf Rogue Guide - Double Shot

Fires two arrows at enemies in front to deal powerful damage. The ability ouputs respectable damage to enemies in an area. The ability to target multiple enemies allows you to expedite the leveling process.

Passive Skills

Dwarven Potential

Their bodies are blessed by the heavens, presenting them with high HP. Grants bonuses to P. Def and Max HP. This Dwarf racial trait starts off at the max level.

Rogue Weapon Mastery

This increases your ATK whenever a dagger or bow is equipped. This is probably your most important passive, as it grants incremental ATK to your class-specific weapon. It is key that you prioritize this skill when it comes to the investment of skill points.

Light Armor Mastery

This passive increases your Evasion rate when Light Armor is equipped, stacking up to 4 times. For each piece of Light Armor you equip, you gain at least 2% Evasion rate per piece. Assuming you wear 4 pieces of Light Armor (Headgear, Armor, Gloves and Boots), you will gain 8% Evasion rate at Level 1. Since a Dwarf Rogue comes with naturally high defense, you should only invest into this trait if you have excessive skill points.

Skill Build Recommendations and Guide

As you level up as a Dwarf Rogue in Lineage 2 Revolution, you will quickly find yourself with sufficient skill points to level most of your skills to their maximum levels. However, this is not something that we recommend you do. You have to keep in mind that after you unlocked your Secondary Classes at Level 31, the Secondary Class skills cost at least 110 skill points per level. You would need to save sufficient skill points to deploy into your Secondary Class traits, especially if you are a free-to-play player.

Make sure you prioritize the leveling of your passive ability, Rogue Weapon Mastery. This will grant you a substantial damage increase. Leveling your other passive, Light Armor Mastery is optional, since you are quite tanky in general.

When it comes to Active skills, you should keep them at Level 1, even though they do not cost much skill points. This ensures that you save sufficient skill points for a later phase of the game where you have unlocked your Secondary Class. However, should you find it challenging clearing content, you can consider leveling up your Active skills. Do make sure you cap your investment into them at Level 3 though.

How Good is Dwarf Rogue in Lineage 2 Revolution?

In Lineage 2 Revolution, the Dwarf Rogue is arguably the Rogue class with the highest survivability as she does not need to rely on a chance to evade attacks. Although she might seem to be lackluster a choice for a Rogue class, her Secondary Classes offers a unique playing experience – she will gain unique skills such as added Adena gain for the Scavenger, as well as disabling skills for the War Ranger. The Dwarf Rogue should not have much issue completing many of the early game content for Lineage 2 Revolution due to her high survivability.
